Omni Federal is seeking software developers, who loves to take on technology challenges, rollup the sleeves and enjoys building software. We are seeking talented individuals to be part of high-performing team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.

The individual must be able to successfully evaluate trade-offs between system capability, art of the possible, and security constraints, as well as communicate conclusions and rationales to technical and non-technical individuals to obtain concurrence. The selected individual will also collaborate across several other programs, providing technical support for various customer efforts.


  • Understand, capture, refine and decompose requirements to the level of detail required to initiate development and necessary integration
  • Drive technical system designs, develop technical program specifications, and develop technical testing requirements, and communicate requirements to application development team members
  • Drive code development as specified in the design and ensures the implemented software fully satisfies functional and technical requirements
  • Integrate all the applicable code component and deliver working solution
  • Develop technical options and perform trade-off analysis between different options to resolve unforeseen challenges
  • Provide support, troubleshoot and resolve system and operational defects
  • Provide technical oversight with COTS integration and co-ordinate dependencies with vendor(s).
  • Perform hands on development, leading COTS integration efforts.
  • Collect data, identify and analyze trends in Operational Incidents while providing suggestions to mitigate future issues and concerns
  • Perform required analysis and information gathering to develop recommendation/ suggestions to improve code quality.
  • Compiling and reviewing support documentation

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of development work experience
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate a customer centric focus, and the ability to work independently
  • Must be highly organized
  • Strong understanding of the capabilities offered by the current Oracle IdAM COTS suite and the value added by upgrading the products and aligning new capabilities with customer needs and/or requirements
  • Understanding and background in COTS integration and custom code development i.g Java preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology
  • Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Automated testing
  • WebLogic administration with installation and configuration experience
  • Security Protocols/Concepts (i.e. SSL/TLS, PKI)
  • Ability to apply analytical thinking to solve business problems using technology
  • Experience in build automation i.e. Jenkins & chef
